We were recently approached by Northampton’s leading lifestyle publication, R-Magazine, to provide an insight into our company’s success. This also gave us an opportunity to produce an advert for ourselves, so we started rubbing our hands with excitement.
We wanted to create a campaign that would illustrate the comprehensive range of high profile customers we now service within Northamptonshire. The Blayney Partnership likes to pride itself in looking after Northampton’s premier businesses; Steffans Jewellers, Sheinman Opticians, Papilio Cosmetics, BlueCube Business and Northants Cricket Club are just a few that have benefited from our creative solutions. Due to our 20 years of commitment in the creative arena our focus concentrated on ‘Purveyors of fine creativity for Northamptonshire and beyond.’

With over 20 years in the business, the Blayney Partnership is a multi disciplined creative agency which delivers innovative solutions. We caught up with Creative Director, Ozz Blayney to give us an insight in the company’s success.
Q. The Blayney Partnership is renown for stunning eye-catching imagery, how important is it for a business brand? And of course the flip side of the coin is that some businesses need very straight forward branding with a direct message?
Without Fame a Brand dies. We believe that design matters. Whether producing a national advertising campaign or a corporate identity for a small business, the principle is the same. It has to be – Visual. Unique. Unforgettable.
Q. What general advice would you give to someone setting up a local business in order to get the right start for promoting themselves?
My advice is to utilise the internet as much as possible. It is a great tool that can expose your business to millions quickly and effectively. I believe that the first port of any consumers search is the now the internet. If your business is driven by product it is essential for you to have a good website that is optimised with a clear SEO campaign. Finally get it right first time as there are no second chances.
Q. Finally, what new technology can we expect in the future within this industry?
The web has become the new high street. A forward thinking business must be memorable, accessible 24 hours a day, and at the customers finger tips. It makes sense therefore, to invest in apps and other products to connect your site to customer’s technology and with the introduction of the Android phone and Apple’s new iPad, online shopping is more accessible than ever. We are also now producing facebook shops which gives customers the opportunity to virally market their goods within a platform that has become the most used website in the world.
