The Collection Election
During the last General Election 2010 we had a ingenious idea to create an online viral competition for Steffans Jewellers. Rather than voting for a favourite political party we decided that we would find out which jewellery brand was the most popular within Steffans Extensive range. As well as providing fun it was a great opportunity to do some market research for the Northampton based Jeweller. In true quirky Steffans style we created an interpretation of 10 Downing Street containing a 1920′s talking policeman, political party coloured parrots and Historic London audio.
To play, the user simply entered their name, full email address and a valid friends/spouse/partners/family members email address on the postcard, the user then selected 3 favourite brands from the Collection Election ballot card then posted their vote. Our system then randomly selected one winner per month who received £1000 of Jewellery from any of the brands they voted for. The competition proved to be a great success with nearly 23,000 entries.
