Althorp is a Grade I listed stately home, estate and small civil parish in Daventry District, Northamptonshire, England of about 13,000 acres, known amongst many as a national treasure. The beautiful estate also marks the burial ground of Diana, Princess of Wales. This landmark of British heritage is open to the public for various events, as well as

exclusively opening up for weddings and other hospitality occasions. By royal appointment we were given the opportunity to create a new modern perspective on Althorps brand, whilst preserving the historic values. Like all our web design projects, the new website is mobile responsive, and built optimised for displays for all sizes.

We were given the task of constructing a beautiful & unique website that also met a broad range of required criteria.

  • Find out about news and events being held at Althorp.
  • Book tickets online and arrange your visit.
  • Browse the gift shop for that special souvenir.
  • Learn about the unique heritage of the Family and their Estate.
  • Submit venue hire enquiries.

It is vitally important that we ensured the Althorp website was mobile friendly as it has become an online necessity. Mobile compatibility improves not only the aesthetic qualities but more importantly the functionality and impact upon the user. 96% of people admit they’ve been on a website clearly not designed for mobile use and 74% of people said they are less likely to return to a website if it isn’t mobile friendly. The stats speak for themselves.

Online booking and availability searching is made easy with the booking system installed into Althorp’s new web development. This system allows users to book day tickets and event passes online and check availability of those tickets at the same time, avoiding any confusion and complications for those on the receiving end. The system will accept single tickets as well as family and group purchases.

Althorp Aerial Videography

Althorp Estate all asked us to produce short SkySight video using our DJI Phantom – one of our newest services. The video showcased the beautiful landscape surrounding the grounds of the estate and some of it’s wildlife.

The 13,000 acre land was a pleasure to capture in 1080p travelling at 16 m/s. Our SkySight aircraft can shoot video using ISO’s between 100-3200 and shoot with shutter speeds from 8 seconds to 1/8000s. Find out more about SkySight here.

Althorp was built in 1508, by the Spencers, for the Spencers, and that is how it has remained for over 500 years.

“Sometimes I forget what a magnificent, historic place Althorp is; because for me, it is simply ‘home’”
