After fending off some tough creative competition, Northants County Cricket Club went with our Ironman meets Terminator concept to front The Steelbacks T20 2011 season. The inspiration came from the clubs new slogan ‘Men of Steel’. Our creative team quickly created a Steelbacks cyborg which was based on the Ironman superhero. With some clever 3d work and a photoshop battle scene creation under the skyline of Northampton the theme soon came to life.
As the professional cricket season was fast approaching, we were commissioned by Northampton County Cricket Club to produce their official T20 Season Guide. The 76 page guide holds all the information that every Steelback’s enthusiast requires.
This was a unique piece of sporting memorabilia and was the first of it’s kind within the Steelback’s league. The guide was sold at the county ground and covered every 2011 fixture.
As part of our ongoing commitment as Official Creative Partners for NCCC this was an appointment piece of work and no expense was spared on creativity. We opted for clean lines with 3D wrapping banners to give the guide a current edge. With the use of the new Steelbacks T20 branding on the cover, we hope to introduce a younger audience to Cricket’s explosive T20 game.
