Step one of our approach was to under-go extensive research and provide an in-depth planning process. This started by analysing existing digital products from competitor teams, and generating a ‘Wishlist’ of desirable features and functionality that the new website could include. We wanted to expand and enhance all of the existing areas of the website, whilst also introducing new fan focussed features to take the whole online experience to the next level, knocking all competitors and rivals for 6.

From here, we then provided a set of flat visuals and worked closely with the Kia Oval marketing team to create a plan of action. Interactive workflow processes were setup to allow us to work efficiently, against a rapidly approaching season deadline.

This new solution steps away from a contained boxed format, and flows into a full-width experience, showcasing parallax imagery, in-depth match and player stats, non-intrusive advertising opportunities and a blogging facility that offers fully customisable elements. The Kia Oval team now have a fully content managed website, that they can edit and build upon independently.
