New Website for USA Cricket
Believe it or not, America has one of the richest cricketing histories of any country in the World, dating back over 300 years. Baseball may be thought of as an American sport with a long and illustrious history, but cricket actually predates it. In fact, cricket was being played in America before it became the United States, and historical records as early as 1709 have chronicled its existence.
USA Cricket’s strategy is to establish cricket as a leading sport in the USA for females & males by building on the 300 year history and to be registered as the fastest growing participation sport in the United States. These are big statements and something that we were incredibly privileged to be appointed and involved in.

In order to break the mould of the traditional overly cluttered sport website we had to completely re-think the product architecture and content taxonomy.
The entire experience needed to be focused on the most important factor – educating the USA public about cricket.
The new platform is a communication hub for all things USA Cricket, where fans and members can experience high quality, high frequency content. From editorial, video, and social the site aggregates the best USA Cricket content, 24/7, every day of the week.
Our main objective was to ask any state-side cricket fan…..”Why would you need to go anywhere else?”
ROOKIE LEAGUE
Preparing The Future Superstars
The aim of this project was to populate the interest in Cricket within the US, so with the help of the guys at USA Cricket we created an interactive friendly portal for all things cricket. Within here users can find activities, videos, downloadable content and a lot more. This area is called the USA Cricket Rookie League.
The USA Cricket Rookie League is the National Entry Level Program aiming to inspire the next generation of cricketers across the United States. The Rookie Skills program is what we believe will be the start of a journey for tens of thousands of Americans toward becoming life-long cricket players and fans. Whether you’re a highly-qualified cricket coach, a school educator, a community volunteer, or a mom or dad wanting to help your child on their way, this is the perfect place to start your cricketing journey.
MATCH CENTRE
Setting A New Standard
The Match Centre is the central hub for all content related to every match including a live in-play Match Feed, ball by ball scoring, live commentary and full match info. Matches automatically transition – providing match scorecards and video highlights after the matches have completed.
Fans can tune into every first team match through the live video commentary with comprehensive stats. A realtime alternative for the most hardy of fans.

For international supporters (as well as those who like to keep a browser tab open to follow the live sports whilst at work), the Match Centre provides all you need to know. We have now allowed fans to keep up with the game like never before, with ball by ball updates courtesy of our CricClubs feeds & Opta statistics integration, the final overs will be even tenser than ever.

Live Squad Updates
All of the stats brought into the Match Centre update automatically. This fluidity is something we aim to provide with all our online solutions, an evolving future-proof product that can manage and populate itself. The days of inputting single stats into the website one by one, are defiantly over – nobody has time for that.

Receive full expansive updates after every ball is bowled from the Live Commentary zone and be the first to know about that last minute, soaring ‘6’ whilst being out and on the go.
When working with sports clubs, a big part of what we do at the Blayney Partnership, is suggesting new innovative ways that clubs can use their growing online platforms to help fans feel closer to games. The Match Centre has certainly allowed USA Cricket to do just that.
TECHNOLOGY
Expertly Integrated
Within the website we have used many data feeds and have integrated in multiple resources. We have worked with these providers and have implemented a seamless transition with all, that all enhance the user experience of the website.
Mainly we have used Opta Sports and CricClubs for receiving live match data. We have then used this raw data to populate the ever popular Match Centre.
PLAYER PROFILES
Meet The Squad
We build an interactive player profile area, containing all representative teams for USA Cricket. These teams are Men’s, Women’s and Under 19’s. Within this section you will be able to find every player that is currently in each of the playing squads. Players can be filtered by each team, and can easily be found as each profile image is colour coded for ease to the user. Each player then has an individual player page which contains a biography of the player, their playing number, role within the team, nicknames, career highlights and favourite cricketers.
